The Brief

The project was to develop a JB-Hifi Exclusive Bluetooth Amplifier that tied the together the range of Studio acoustic roof mount speakers and accessories.

It needed to be roof mounted or left on a table top. Inspiration was taken from existing Wi-Fi routers and bluetooth devices.

The functions that needed to be included were  a power switch with led indicators, a bluetooth pairing button, volume control, skip forward or back, Aux in, Aux out, RCA out, a mode switch and Antenna.

The Tricky Stuff - The Internal Construction

My input covered the overall design, physical construction and housing of electronics. Components such as the inputs, antenna and buttons were factored in with the corresponding PCB constructed at the factory at prototyping stage.

Heat sinks were also included to prevent overheating. This also worked well with the overall design and construction.
